Things You Need To Know About Me #8

image

I am easily pleased.

If you’re a regular visitor to my little corner of the web, you will know that it’s pretty easy to please me.

I post weekly about the little things that have shown up and brought a smile to my face or made my heart do little star jumps.

They’re not big things, extravagant gifts orΒ expensive outings…they are the magical moments that cost very little (sometimes nothing at all), aren’t going to win awards and most people take for granted.

But they are special to me.

They are the thoughtful comments, the little wins and the perfect pauses in a crappy day!

I live a grateful life.

I delight in the detail.

I notice the magic in the mundane.

I love smiling and try hard every day to do so.

Here’s a little love list of things that are sure to secure a smile…

πŸ’› food that tastes as nice as it looks πŸ’› the smell of a newly opened jar of coffee πŸ’›Β coordinating stationary πŸ’› little love notes left for me to find πŸ’›Β when someone compliments my kids πŸ’› an outfit that looks better on than you visualised πŸ’› the last pair of sale shoes, in your size πŸ’› a beautiful flower πŸ’› when someone takes the time to leave a comment on my blog πŸ’› the perfect pony tail first time πŸ’› a child’s drawing πŸ’› strawberries and cream πŸ’› a pretty cocktail πŸ’› a great idea πŸ’›above and beyond customer service πŸ’› a sale item that is cheaper than the ticket price πŸ’› an Instagram like πŸ’› beautiful gift wrapping πŸ’› writing on the first page of a new notebook πŸ’› an ‘I saw this and thought of you‘ text πŸ’›

What does it take to please you? Are you difficult to please? Is making you smile, easier said than done?

Let me know below.

Smiles xo

  1. Love that quote you’ve come up with on smiling, it’s adorable!
This cold morning (winter has come to Australia, believe it or not!) I’m sitting under a cozy blanket with a hot cup of tea, and really just appreciating life and everything in it. Thanks for sharing your happy moments. They might seem small, but those are the best ones πŸ™‚ ❀

      1. Ah, the English summers… I grew up in Sweden and they’re pretty much the same there! No fun 😦 I hope it gets better soon! At least so you can sit outside and somewhat feel the sun on your skin πŸ™‚

  2. I appreciate a wonderful piece of chocolate cake that I can eat without any guilt whatsoever. I appreciate sitting in the sun and just enjoying the feeling of the sun on my face. A cup of coffee that tastes as good as it smells. Hugs and kisses from my husband and my son. Walking into a clean kitchen in the morning. A glass of red wine. Oh, the list goes on πŸ™‚

Like you, I delight in simple things like listening to my favorite music, playing my guitar, when i have a book to read, coffee at work before I start answering emails, hugs n kisses from my sweet daughter, her drawings for me, holding hands with my hubby and when I suddenly have an idea to write for my blog. Life is good! Let’s enjoy everything 😊
